Youth grievously injured in St Julian's

(PR 297/25)

This morning, at around five (0500 hrs), the Police were informed that a person was injured during an argument in Triq Spinola, St Julian’s.

The Police went immediately on site and found three men in an apartment in the same street who alleged they had been attacked by three other men with a pointed weapon in order to steal from them, and then fled the scene.

A medical team arrived on site shortly afterwards and one of them, a 22-year-old Englishman, was taken to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance. He was later certified to have sustained grievous injuries. The other two persons, who are also British, were not injured.

The Police are carrying out investigations to identify the persons involved in this case, while Magistrate Dr Antoine Agius Bonnici LL. D, appointed an inquiry into the case.
