A 19-year-old youth, a resident of Santa Venera, is being detained under arrest after being caught in possession of various types of drugs, allegedly for trafficking.
Yesterday morning, while the Police were on patrol in Triq it-Turisti, St Paul’s Bay, they noticed three suspicious youths. A search was conducted and in the possession of one of them various different substances, allegedly drugs, as well as an electronic balance, around €1,100 in cash and a large knife were found. The youth was arrested and escorted to Qawra Police Station.
He is expected to be arraigned in Court today at around noon 1200hrs infront of Magistrate Dr Giannella Camilleri Busuttil LL.D
