Work is being completed at the Community Police Office in Ħ’Attard and the extensive renovation at the Ħamrun Police Station is approaching its end.

By the end of May, the Ħamrun Police Station will be reopening to the public, as the extensive renovation works that have been ongoing since 2024 have now reached their conclusion.

The works at this station included, among other things, the demolition and renovation of ceilings, as well as the opening of partition walls, along with the installation of new doors and windows. This was in addition to a drainage system and completely new water and electrical installations.

Ventilation systems including air conditioning, ducts, false ceilings, openings, and new furniture were also included. Renovation work is also currently ongoing on the facade of the mentioned station.

This month, the renovation work at the Community Police Office in Ħ’Attard is also expected to be completed.

The work at this location began at the start of last year, where extensive renovations were carried out, as well as electric installations, air conditioning, and new furniture among others. This site has also been equipped with a charging point for electric vehicles used by the police. These investments amount to a total of over €740,000 (€660,000 in Ħamrun and €80,000 in Ħ’Attard) and follow a series of extensive renovations in Police Stations completed in recent years, including in Gżira and Rabat, as well as a new station in Wied il-Għajn.
