Today, at around 1300hrs, the Police were informed of a traffic accident in Triq Sant’Andrija, Swieqi.
The Police immediately went to the scene and from a preliminary investigation it resulted that a 70-year-old woman residing at Pembroke crashed into a wall while she was driving a Toyota Starlet and suffered some injuries.
A medical team was called to the scene and the woman was taken by ambulance to Mater Dei Hospital where she was later certified with serious injuries.
Magistrate Dr Joe Mifsud LL.D was informed of the case and appointed an inquiry while the Police investigations into this incident are still ongoing.
