Today, at around a quarter to eight in the morning (0745hrs), the Police were informed that assistance was needed at a residence in Triq il-Qajjenza, Birżebbuġa.
The Police immediately went to the scene and from a preliminary investigation that was carried out, it resulted that a 53-year-old woman, fell two storeys from a window.
Members of the Civil Protection Department were called to the scene, as well as a medical team, and an ambulance took the victim to Mater Dei Hospital for the necessary treatment. Later, the victim was certified with serious injuries.
Police investigations are still ongoing.
