Yesterday, a woman and a boy were taken to Mater Dei Hospital after they were injured in two separate traffic accidents.
The first accident occurred at around 1700hrs, in Triq L-Isperanza, Mosta. Preliminary investigations showed that a collision occurred between a Niu motorcycle being driven by a 54-year-old woman from Mosta and a Jeep driven by a 73-year-old man from Mosta.
The second accident occurred at around 1700hrs in Triq il-Kappuċċini, Ħaż-Żabbar. Preliminary investigations showed that a collision occurred between a Mazda driven by a 24-year-old man from Zurrieq and a scooter driven by a 15-year-old boy from Zabbar.
A medical team assisted in both incidents where the woman and the boy were taken to hospital by ambulance for medical treatment. They were later certified to have sustained grievous injuries.
Police investigations are ongoing.
