Traffic accident in St Paul's Bay
A 65-year-old woman from St Paul’s Bay and a 75-year-old man from Mellieħa, at around 11am (1100 hrs), were taken to Mater Dei Hospital after being involved in a traffic accident in Triq Burmarrad, St Paul’s Bay.
 
It resulted from initial investigations that the woman was driving Toyota Funcargo and lost control, with the vehicle overturning on the side.
The man and the woman were assisted by members of the Civil Protection Department and a medical team, who were then taken to hospital by ambulance.
 
There, the woman was certified with slight injuries, while the man is suffering from grievous injuries.
 
Police investigations into the accident are ongoing.
