Yesterday at around 1:30 p.m. (1330 hrs), the police were informed of a traffic accident on Triq Ħal Far, Birżebbuġa.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the collision involved a DAF 85 truck driven by a 44-year-old man from Msida and a DAF CF440 truck driven by a 49-year-old man from Qormi.
Members of the Civil Protection Department and a medical team immediately responded to the scene. The 49-year-old driver was taken by ambulance to Mater Dei Hospital, where he was later certified as having sustained grievous injuries.
Police investigations into the incident are ongoing.
