Three people injured in separate traffic accidents

A man and two women were taken to Mater Dei Hospital after being injured in two separate traffic accidents.

The first accident occurred yesterday, at around 1400hrs, in Triq San Luqa, Tal-Pietà. Preliminary investigations revealed that a collision occurred between a Honda motorcycle driven by a 44-year-old man residing in Tal-Pietà and a Kia Picanto driven by a 54-year-old woman residing in Pembroke.

The second accident occurred today, at around 0100hrs, in Triq Mikiel Anton Vassalli, St Julian’s. Initial investigations revealed that a collision occurred between a Mini Cooper D driven by a 45-year-old French woman residing in Sliema and an Audi Q2 driven by a 38-year-old woman residing in Tarxien. A 49-year-old French woman who lives in Sliema was a passenger in the Mini Cooper D.

A medical team attended both incidents and the man and two women aged 38 and 49 years were taken to hospital by ambulance. Later, the man and the 49-year-old woman were certified as grievously injured, while the other was certified as slightly injured.

Police investigations are ongoing.
