Three arrested in connection with alleged drug importation

Three youths, two from Macedonia and a Bulgarian, were arrested on Friday afternoon in connection with alleged importation of drugs.
 
Investigations identified a package addressed to one of the youths, who came from abroad, with two kilograms of drugs suspected to be cannabis with a market value exceeding 15,000 euro.
 
The Police also carried out a search at a residence in Marsascala, and together with the packet, sachets containing a substance suspected to be cocaine were found together with weighing scales and a number of mobile phones.
 
All three are being held under arrest at the Police Headquarters.
