Qrendi accident

(PR 302/25) 

A 48-year-old man is in hospital for treatment after he was injured while doing some work related to the manufacture of fireworks.

The accident occurred on Wednesday 18th June at around nine in the evening (2100 hrs) in a fireworks factory in Triq Taż-Żellieqa, Qrendi.

The man, who lives in Qrendi, was given first aid on site by a medical team and transferred by ambulance to Mater Dei Hospital for further treatment, where he was later certified to have sustained grievous injuries.

Magistrate Dr Antoine Agius Bonnici LL. D was informed of the case and appointed an inquiry while investigations into the case are ongoing.
