Intensive investigations by the Police in connection with a theft from a Paola shop have yielded results as within a few hours, the alleged thief, a 44-year-old man from Santa Luċija, was arrested.

The case occurred on Thursday, when at around 0240 hrs, while the Police were on patrol in Antoine De Paule Square, Paola, noticed a broken shop window. Investigations revealed that a Toyota broek into the shop window and a person came down from the car where he allegedly stole a number of items and then fled the scene.
