More successes by the Police in their work against drug trafficking in Paceville

(PR 198/25)

The Police Force’s continued efforts to combat drug trafficking resulted in the arrest of two men last night.

During routine patrols in Paceville, officers observed a man performing bouncer duties at an establishment on St George’s Road acting suspiciously, prompting officers to monitor his behaviour more closely. At one point, the suspect was followed into a restroom, where he was caught holding four sachets with suspected cocaine in one hand and a card payment machine in the other. Two other individuals were present in the room, with one of them seen using the payment device.

The 21-year-old Serbian national, who was allegedly selling drugs while working as a bouncer, was arrested on the spot. Investigations revealed that the payment machine he was using allegedly belonged to the DJ performing at the venue.

The police proceeded to the arrest of the 34-year-old Libyan DJ, and a search led to the discovery of another card machine and a quantity of empty sachets, all of which were collected as evidence.

Police investigations are ongoing.
