Man suffers serious injuries in Gozo

A 41-year-old man from Thailand suffered grievous injuries following an accident last night at the Mġarr Harbour marina in Gozo.

At around 2115 hrs, the Police were informed that an explosion had occurred on a ferry.

The Police went immediately on site and found the man suffering from injuries, and medical assistance was requested. He was taken to the Gozo General Hospital by an ambulance, where he was certified as suffering from grievous injuries.

Members of the Armed Forces of Malta as well as members of the Civil Protection assisted in the case.

Magistrate Dr Simone Grech LL. D was informed about the incident and appointed an inquiry. Police investigations are ongoing.
