A 40-year-old man living in Qormi, unfortunately lost his life while working on Triq il-Kaċċatur, Ħal Qormi.
It was around 0600hrs, when the Police were informed that there was probably a man trapped in a waste collection truck. The Police immediately went to the scene together with members of the Civil Protection where the report was confirmed.
Unfortunately, he was certified dead at the scene.
Magistrate Dr Monica Borg Galea LL.D was informed of the case and appointed an inquiry.
Investigations by the Police, as well as those of the Occupational Health and Safety Authority, are still ongoing.
