A 48-year-old man was injured in an accident that occurred at around 0700hrs, at a quarry in Triq Ħ’Attard, Ħ’Attard.
Investigations revealed that a collision occurred between a DAF truck driven by a 36-year-old residing in Msida and a forklift driven by the victim.
A medical team was called to the scene and the man was taken to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance. He was later certified to be suffering from serious injuries.
Investigations by the Police, together with the Occupational Health and Safety Authority, are ongoing.
