Today, at around 0400hrs, the Police were informed that their assistance was needed in Triq il-Kbira, Mellieħa.
The Police went immediately on site where preliminary investigations showed that a 43-year-old man who lives in Ħal Għargħur, entered a site which is under construction and fell.
A medical team and members from the Civil Protection Department assisted the man, after which he was taken away Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance. Later, he was certified with grievous injuries.
Police investigations are ongoing.
