Earlier today, at around 0630 hrs, the Police were informed that a man was allegedly dead in Spinola Garden, St Julian’s.
The Police went immediately on site where the report was confirmed.
Investigations immediately started where it resulted that shortly before, an argument allegedly took place between the victim, a 31-year-old Moroccan, and the alleged aggressor, a27-year-old Polish man.
It resulted that the Polish man left the scene but after an intensive search and through video footages, he was arrested in the area of St George’s Bay, just an hour and a half later.
Magistrate Dr Joe Mifsud LL.D. was informed of the case and opened an inquiry, assisted by several experts.
While the victim was taken to the mortuary where an autopsy is expected to be carried out, Police investigations into the case are ongoing.
