A 41-year-old man residing in Zebbug, unfortunately lost his life after he suffered from an electric shock and fell into a ditch while working.
The accident occurred at around 1230hrs, in Triq il-Pamla, in the limits of Ghajn Tuffieha.
A medical team and Civil Protection personnel were called on site to assist, and an ambulance took the victim to Mater Dei Hospital for treatment. Unfortunately, he was certified dead shortly afterwards.
Magistrate Dr Joseph Mifsud LL.D was informed of the case and appointed an inquiry.
Investigations by the Police, together with the Occupational Health and Safety Authority at work are ongoing.
