Man dies after falling from height in Gozo

Yesterday, at around half past eight in the evening (2030 hrs), the Police were informed that assistance was needed in a block of apartments in Triq Giorgio Borġ Olivier, in Victoria.
 
Preliminary investigations by the Police found that a 40-year-old man fell from a height of about five storeys in an internal courtyard. The man fell after trying to get out of a window, as he was locked inside his apartment.
 
Members from the Civil Protection Department and a medical team were called to the scene, but unfortunately he was certified dead on the spot.
 
Magistrate Simone Grech LL.D was informed and appointed various experts to assist in the inquiry, while Police investigations are ongoing.
