A 28-year-old man, a Paola resident, was arrested by the Police in Ġnien Toni Bezzina in connection with aggravated possession of drugs.
Yesterday, around 1030hrs, while the police were patrolling the streets on foot, they stopped the man, and during a search on him, found a bag with two large sealed bags filled with a substance suspected to be cannabis buds.
Another search was carried out at his residence in Triq Kordin, Raħal Ġdid, where more suspected cannabis was found, totaling about half a kilo, along with other items related to drugs.
He is expected to be arraigned in court in the coming days.
