Yesterday morning, at around 1000hrs, while police were conducting surveillance in the area of St. Luke’s Hospital in Tal-Pietà, they noticed a man in a vehicle who raised suspicions that he may have been involved in drug trafficking in the area.
The man, who is 25 years old and residing in Valletta, was stopped by police, where a search carried out on him, as well as in his vehicle, revealed several sachets containing substances suspected to be cocaine, heroin and cannabis, along with an amount of cash.
He was arrested and is expected to be arraigned in court in the coming hours.
