A 29-year-old Italian national has been arrested by the Police after a controlled delivery was carried out. The investigation started when a packet which came from abroad with a substance suspected to be MDMA was identified.
On Thursday morning, the Police distributed the package to the address in Gzira and arrested the Italian who collected the package.
The package consisted of around 4 kilograms of MDMA, with a street value of €200,000.
The man is expected to be arraigned in Court today at around half past eleven in the morning (1130 hrs) before Magistrate Dr Y. Micallef Stafrace LL. D.
