Man arrested after Vittoriosa shooting incident

Today, at around 1300hrs, the Police were informed that their assistance was needed in Triq il-Qalb ta’ Ġesu, Vittoriosa.

Police immediately went on site, where they found a 33-year-old man from Cospicua injured by injuries allegedly caused by a firearm.

A medical team assisted the man and an ambulance took him to Mater Dei where he was certified to be in serious condition.

The alleged aggressor, who is 70 years old and resides in Vittoriosa, was arrested by the Police in the vicinity where the case occurred.

Magistrate Dr Monica Borg Galea LL.D was informed of the case who appointed a Magisterial Inquiry.

Police investigations are ongoing.
