Man arrested after Paola shooting

Yesterday at around 9pm (2100 hrs), the Police were informed that a shooting had taken place during an argument in Triq Melita, Paola.

Preliminary investigations revealed that a 33-year-old man allegedly fired shots with a firearm during an argument with three other men. When the officers arrived on site he went into his residence and closed the door.

The Police spoke with the alleged aggressor and shortly afterwards he opened the door and was arrested, while at the residence the Police also found the firearm which was allegedly used during the argument.

No one was injured in the accident.

Police investigations are ongoing while Magistrate Monica Galea LLD was informed.
