Today, at around 0830hrs, the Police were informed that a traffic accident had occurred in Triq il-Kbira Sn Ġużepp, Ħamrun.
Initial investigations revealed that an 84-year-old elderly woman residing in Ħamrun was hit by an Isuzu Elf van driven by a 67-year-old man residing in Rabat.
A medical team was called to the scene and an ambulance took the woman for treatment at Mater Dei Hospital, where she was later certified with serious injuries.
Police investigations are ongoing.
