Elderly man injured after fall in Gozo

Yesterday, at around nine in the morning (0900hrs), the Police were informed that a person had fallen in a field in Triq l-Għadira, Kerċem.

From the investigations carried out, it resulted that a 73-year-old man, resident of Kerċem, slipped while walking in a field and consequently fell a height of about nine feet into another field.

A medical team, as well as members of the Civil Protection Department, assisted the man, who was taken to the Gozo General Hospital by ambulance. Later, he was certified to be suffering from serious injuries.

Magistrate Dr Brigitte Sultana LL.D was informed of the case and appointed an inquiry, while police investigations are still ongoing.
