A 41-year-old Egyptian man and living in Paola, was injured after he fell about three storeys while working.
The accident happened at around 0815hrs, in Triq Kanonku Bonnici, Santa Venera.
Members of the Civil Protection Department and a medical team arrived on site and an ambulance took the victim to Mater Dei Hospital for treatment. The man was later certified to be suffering from serious injuries.
Magistrate Dr Philip Galea Farrugia LL.D was informed about the case and appointed several experts to assist in the inquiry which has been appointed.
Investigations by the Police, together with the Occupational Health and Safety Authority and the Building and Construction Authority are ongoing.
