With reference to various reports that have appeared in the media regarding Police investigations into some of the jurors in the trial of Yorgen Fenech, it should be clarified that the investigation is related to the oath taken by the jurors before the start of the trial.
The Police investigation is focused exclusively on these declarations, specifically on public comments that some jurors may have allegedly made before the trial began, and not on any other theory or allegation that may have been reported in the media.
At this stage, the Police appeal for caution and prudence in reporting and urge the avoidance of speculation that could prejudice the ongoing investigation.
