A 34-year-old man residing in Ħal Qormi lost his life after being struck by a forklift he was operating in a warehouse in the limits of Naxxar.
The incident occurred at around 10:00 a.m. today, on Triq Burmarrad.
A medical team was called to the scene together with members of the Civil Protection Department to provide assistance, but the worker was unfortunately certified dead at the scene.
Magistrate Dr Franco Agius LL.D. was informed of the case and opened an inquiry, while the Police Support Response team was also notified.
Police investigations, together with the Occupational Health and Safety Authority, are ongoing.
