A 75-year-old woman from Birkirkara was taken to Mater Dei Hospital at around ten o’clock this morning (1000hrs) after she was injured in a traffic accident in Triq Fleur-De-Lys, Birkirkara.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the victim was struck by a Mazda Demio, which was being driven by a 27-year-old man residing in San Ġwann.
The woman was given assistance by a medical team, taken to hospital by ambulance, and was certified as having suffered grevious injuries.
Police investigations are still ongoing.
