A 38-year-old Romanian national, a resident of Mqabba, was involved in a traffic accident this morning in Triq il-Konvoj ta ‘Santa Marija, Mqabba.
It was at around half past nine (0930 hrs) when assistance was sought, where initial investigations showed that the accident occurred between a Yamaha motorcycle driven by the Romanian and a Toyota Hilux which was being driven by a 77-year-old man from Kirkop.
The woman was assisted on site by a medical team and taken to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance, where she was later certified to have sustained grievous injuries.
Police investigations are ongoing.
