Yesterday, at around 1830hrs, the Police were informed that their assistance was needed in the area of Tal-Iħfar Cliff in Triq Panoramika, Dingli.
The Police immediately went to the scene and there it resulted that a 21-year-old woman from the Czech Republic fell and was injured while practicing the sport of paragliding.
Members from the Civil Protection Department and a medical team were immediately called, and together they coordinated an operation so that the victim was lifted from the cliff and taken for further treatment at Mater Dei Hospital.
Later, she was certified to have suffered grievous injuries.
Police investigations are still ongoing.
