Earlier today, at around 1020 hrs, Police officers who were patrolling
on foot were approached by a person who informed them that in a field
in the vicinity of Marsa cross Street, Marsa, there was a woman who was allegedly dead.
The Police went immediately on site where the report was confirmed.
The assistance of more officials was immediately requested and investigations initiated.
The victim was later identified as a 47-year-old Maltese national, resident in St Paul’s Bay.
Magistrate Dr Joe Mifsud LL. D. was informed of the case and opened an inquiry, assisted by several experts.
Police investigations into this case are ongoing.
