Two men arrested in connection with drug trafficking in St Julian's

Surveillance in St Julian’s in connection with alleged drug trafficking led to the arrest of a 26-year-old man from Żurrieq and a 23-year-old man from Senglea. They were found in possession of various types of drugs.

During patrols carried out this morning, the Police noticed the men acting suspiciously while in a Toyota Vitz. They were stopped in Portomaso Street, a search was carried out and substances suspected to be cocaine, heroin and cannabis were found, as well as an amount of cash and several mobile phones.

The men are being held in custody at the Floriana Police Lock-up, while investigations are ongoing.
