Yesterday, at around 1830hrs, the Police were informed of a traffic accident in Triq Sant’ Antnin, Ħaż-Żabbar.
The Police went immediately to the scene and from preliminary investigation it resulted that a 54-year-old man residing in Ħaż-Żabbar was hit by a Toyota Starlet driven by a 28-year-old man also residing in Ħaż-Żabbar.
A medical team was called on the spot and an ambulance took the 54-year-old man for treatment at Mater Dei Hospital, where later he was certified with grievous injuries.
Police investigations are still ongoing.
