The Police immediately went to the scene and from a preliminary investigation it resulted that a collision had occurred between a Kawasaki motorcycle ridden by a 50-year-old man residing in Fgura and a 24-year-old woman from San Pawl il-Baħar, who was crossing the said road.
A medical team was called to the scene and an ambulance took both individuals to Mater Dei Hospital for treatment. Later, both persons were certified as having suffered serious injuries.
Police investigations into the case are still ongoing.
