Three men injured after scaffolding collapsed
 
Today, at around quarter three in the afternoon (1515hrs), the Police were informed that assistance was needed at a recycling plant in Valletta Road, Marsa.
 
The Police went immediately on site and from preliminary investigations it resulted that three men, aged 40, 27 and 23, all residents of St Paul’s Bay were injured after a scaffolding collapsed.
 
Members of the Civil Protection Department and a medical team were called on site to assist the workers and were then taken to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance. The two persons, aged 40 and 23, were later certified to have sustained grievous injuries, while the condition of the 27-year-old man is still pending.
 
Investigations by the Police and the Occupational Health and Safety Authority are ongoing.
