Yesterday, at around 2230hrs, the Police were informed of a traffic accident in Triq ix-Xatt, Sliema.
The Police went immediately on site and preliminary investigations showed that a Moroccan man and a French woman, both aged 73, were hit by a Kymco Agility 16 + 125 motorcycle driven by a 26-year-old French man residing in St Paul’s Bay.
A medical team was called on site and an ambulance took the Moroccan and the Frenchman to Mater Dei Hospital for treatment. Later, the woman was certified with serious injuries while the man was certified with grievous injuries.
Police investigations into this case are ongoing.
