The Police conducted a return operation, during which they dismissed from Malta a man who had served a prison sentence for terrorism and hijacking of an aircraft, among others.

The man, who did not cooperate with the Principal Immigration Officer, was detained in a detention centre until he was escorted abroad in a return order operation.

The original case dates back to December 2016.

A prohibition order was also issued against the man so that he cannot re-enter Malta and European Union countries. During this operation the Police were assisted by Detention Officers.
