Police arrest 11 people from Vittoriosa residence

(PR 405/24) 

Following days of surveillance, a coordinated operation by the Police, led to the arrest of 11 people from a residence in Vittoriosa.
 
These persons were all found living in the country irregularly. The nationalities of these persons are from Bangladesh, Gambia and Senegal.
 
The persons were all taken to a detention centre pending the necessary preparations to be returned to their country of origin or to the country in which they are permitted to reside.
 
Enforcement linked to immigration is continuous, and will continue in the coming days, including through coordinated efforts by the Police force, together with other immigration entities, as well as work.
