Earlier today, the police continued with routine traffic checks, in Burmarrad Road, St Paul’s Bay more than 45 vehicles were stopped.
During these inspections, 31 persons were detained after being found residing in the country irregularly, two drivers were found driving without a valid licence, while six other drivers were summoned in connection with various irregularities.
Officers from Transport Malta, the Detention Services Agency, Identitá and JobsPlus also assisted the Police in these checks.
This coordinated work in various fields will continue in the coming days and weeks.
