Last night, the police were busy with routine checks on various roads around Malta.
In the localities of Zebbug, Marsa, Msida and St Julian’s, the police found four drivers driving under the influence of alcohol, while seven drivers were found driving without a valid licence.
During the same inspections, 17 vehicles were found to be driven over the permitted speed limit and another 75 contraventions related to different traffic regulations were also issued.
LESA officials also assisted the Police in these checks.
The Police force remains committed to continue with traffic controls regularly at all times of the day, with the aim of safeguarding the safety of all those who use our roads.
