A 70-year-old man resident of Żabbar, at around a quarter to eleven in the morning (1045hrs), was taken to Mater Dei Hospital after suffering grevious injuries in a traffic accident in Vjal il-Kottoner, Fgura.
Initial investigations revealed that the victim was riding a Kawasaki motorcycle when he collided with a Toyota Ractis, which was being driven by a 53-year-old man resident of Żejtun.
The motorcycle driver was treated by a medical team and taken to hospital by ambulance where he was later certified with grevious injuries.
Police investigations are ongoing.
