Man seriously injured in traffic accident

Today, at around 0730 hrs, the Police were informed that a traffic accident occurred in Triq ix-Xatt, Sliema.

Initial investigations showed that a 57-year-old man, resident in St Paul’s Bay, was unloading

From an Isuzu Elf van, when he was hit by a Peugeot 3008 driven by a 42-year-old Libyan man from Birkirkara.

A medical team was called on site and an ambulance took the man to Mater Dei Hospital for treatment where he was later certified to have sustained serious injuries.

Magistrate Dr Monica Borg Galea LL.D was informed and  appointed an inquiry while Police investigations are ongoing.
