Man seriously injured in Sliema

(PR 33/25) 

Late last night, at around 2100 hrs, the Police were informed that their assistance was needed in Tower Road, Sliema.
 
It resulted from investigations carried out that a 25-year-old man, resident of Attard, was injured after being hit by a concrete equipment pipe as a result of some damage.
 
An ambulance took the victim to Mater Dei Hospital where he was later certified to be suffering from serious injuries.
 
Magistrate Dr Philip Galea Farrugia LL.D. appointed an inquiry while investigations by the Police and the Occupational Health and Safety Authority are ongoing.
