Yesterday, at around 3:00 p.m. (1500hrs), the Police were informed that assistance was needed in a field in Triq ir-Ramlija, Ħal Kirkop.
Police immediately went to the scene, and initial investigations revealed that a 76-year-old man from Santa Luċija was injured while operating a motorized plough.
The man was given medical assistance, taken to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance, and was certified to be suffering from grevious injuries.
Members of the Civil Protection Department were also on site to assist.
Police investigations into the case are ongoing.
