Today, at around 1300hrs, the Police were informed that assistance was needed in a field within the limits of l-Iskrivit, Mġarr.
The Police immediately went to the scene and from the initial investigation it resulted that a 65-year-old man from Mġarr was injured while using a mechanical plough.
The man was given assistance by a medical team, was taken to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance and was certified as grievously injured.
Members of the Civil Protection Department were also on the scene to assist.
Police investigations are ongoing.
