A 40-year-old man residing in Ħamrun, was injured after falling about one storey while he was on a ladder on the roof of a residence.

The accident happened at around 0845hrs, in Triq San Gejtanu, Ħamrun.

A medical team and members of the Civil Protection were called on site to assist, and an ambulance took the man to Mater Dei Hospital for treatment. He was later certified to have sustained grievous injuries.

Police investigations are ongoing.
