Man arrested in St Julian's

(PR 60/25) 

Immediate action by the police as they were informed of a robbery led to the alleged thief, a 42-year-old Somali national, being arrested just moments later.

The case occurred during the night between Monday and Tuesday in St Julian’s. It was at around 0200hrs that assistance was requested in St George’s Road, following a report that a 26-year-old Frenchman was assaulted and robbed.

The Somali tried to flee the scene but was detained by the Police.

The man is expected to be arraigned in Court in the coming hours.
